Here is a video of some practicing in Brooklyn. I was playing along with Jamie McLean's "Cherry Tree" and decided to try out my new Flip video camera.
Why Not - This is by The Point - featuring my brother Kevin on vocals, guitar and production. [Nice Drum sound dude!]
We Take It On Down - This is from a group of demos I recorded with Neal Carlson, who now currently fronts the band MINK. It was produced by John Campos.
Ghost Town - This is a great track by Evan Oullette from Boston. We recorded this in the winter of 2006 at a beach house in Delaware. Tim Lyons produced and played bass on this.
1120 - One of a few of my pieces that I recorded recently with Jonti Siman on elec. bass, Erik Deutsch on piano, and Aaron Jennings on elec. guitar. This piece started as a simple off-beat melody which grew into something else on my sequencer on my laptop. Kudos to these great musicians for taking a simple idea to the next level.
Maracatu - a piece from the same record date as above. I played some pandeiro as an overdub on this track. Fun! Maracatu is a music from the area around Recife, a city in the northeast of Brazil. I am very new to this style of music and this piece is just an exploration into the little bit that I have learned along the way.
120Rio
- some beats live drums and sound FX all in support of an experiment with some
overdubbed Tamborims and Repiques.
