In no particular order - these are the great artists, bands and collaborators that I have played, recorded or toured with over the last few years:

Standby Machines - This is the collective of myself, Tim Lyon, a great bass player and producer in Washington DC and Evan Oullette, a great singer songwriter and guitarist from Boston. In March 2007 and New Years 2007 we set up recording camp at a beach house in delaware and tracked a handful of great songs by Evan.

Jerry Fuentes - a great singer and songwriter from San Antonio Texas whom I've had the recent pleasure of working with.

Jamie McLean- I recently started touring the southeast with this band - formerly the guitarist from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Jamie hails from New Canaan, CT, home of my old highschool's rival football team.

Split The Lark - this is the singer songwriter brainchild / band of Keith Polasko, a gifted brooklyn tunesmith whom Ive just started playing with.

Cuzin D - I met Cuz when he started singing and playing bass with the Navigators. We recently have been tracking lots of songs of his at a few different studios and expect to have a release early Fall 2007.

A Big Yes and a Small No - This is a great experimental pop band fronted by singer / songwriter / vibraphonist Kevin Kendrick. This fun band features Jonti Siman on bass, Erik Deutsch on keyboards and Jonathan Goldberger on guitar.

The Point - This is a trippy sci-fi songwriter band fronted by my brother Kevin Griffin, pianist Micheal Katzman and bassist Colin Casprowicz.

Mental Notes - an interesting "experimental hip-hop" band which features the very talented MC Spirtchild.

Neal Carlson - a great songwriter and performer whom I met through John Campos. Neal and John and I recorded some demos last month for some of Neals newest solo material. the music is rootsy and has a bit of "whiskey" flavor to it.

The Navigators - I joined this band in August of 2004. Dewey Kincade, the frontman of this band, blends some Dylan lyricism and Chris Whitley blues folk into this southern style rock band.

Robert Sabin - This "unreal sicko" is a tremendous composing and bass playing force to be reckoned with. I recorded on his album "Killdozer" in December 2004 and recently "Romero" which just released in September 2007. This band features saxophonist Jason Rigby, guitarist Mark Stanley and trumpeter Russ Johnson. Check out his site to hear his recent punk-jazz homage to the great zombie films of George Romero! These records were super fun to make. Bob's vision with this eerie music is quite challenging and beautiful. Bassist Jay Anderson mixed and produced these sessions.

Jon Alexander Band - I just met these guys through Robbie Sinclair, a great drummer who just left NYC to focus more on his great band Wells. Jon is a great guitar player and his band has some Steely Dan and some Dr. Jon influences. Im looking forward to gigging with them sometime soon.

Bret Reilly - Bret is a great singer songwriter who has had his music featured in many of the Farrelly Brothers movies. We recorded a few demos in 2003-2004. Check out his sculptures!

smit-haus - this is the band that started opening up my pop and rock style playing after studying jazz in Virginia and in New York. This band focused on Beatles-esque melodies with raging guitars.

lila - a creative band with some diverse influences. I met Bob Sabin and Naren Rauch through the Manhattan School of Music. We've experimented with rock, electronica, and even some different country and latin feels to shape and support Naren's compositions.

spirit gang - this is a guitar fusion trio with Bob and Mark Stanley, who is a truly creative force. We've experimented with Brazilian music, death metal, polkas, and horror film soundrack music.

Rev 99 - this is truly the most experimental of all the projects I am involved with. Rev 99 is a multimedia frenzy led by NY based artist 99 hooker. In this project, I play drum machines and synthesizers, to support a barrage of sound and video which is mixed and edited live by video mixer Donald O'Finn and audio engineer Ross Bonadonna. The frenzy usually takes place at Freddy's Bar on Wednesday nights.

wombat music workshop - this is an ongoing music project of Ross's, which I have recently had the honor of being a part of. Check back for more thoughts on this and sound clips as this project develops.

force theory - this is also a new project for me. Led by Michael Furjanic, force theory is a modern spin on the sonic party atmosphere created by such artists as Sly & the Family Stone and The Meters. Michael is a whiz at protools, which has enabled him and the rest of the band to grow at hyper speed.

sidecar - sidecar is a project I started with bassist Eivind Opsvik, guitarist Aaron Jennings and saxophonist Jason Rigby. It is an honor for me to play with these gifted individuals each time. We each experiment with various electronics as well as free improvisation on our native instruments to create spontaneously improvised soundscapes.

big on sleep - the junkyard version of steely dan. old horror film and cartoon sound effects - slippery guitar lines, and eerie vocals. this incredibly clever and unique band is fronted by Andy Catanzariti and Jason McLain.
